What are the benefits of buying a laser scanner

I’m planning to expand my drafting business anytime soon. And a friend of mine recommended I acquire this
Creaform laser scanner for an easier design process, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Anyone who can help me decide? Thanks.

Without knowing your business, it's hard to know if the type of investment you'd have to make for 3D scanning would be worth it. Perhaps a more details and or more specific questions would be a good start.
