Hi
I'm going to grade up my scanner and want to buy two camera to work with HP and also with FlexScan3D.
I wanna to know is the DMK 72BUC02 a suitable camera for my application? does anyone know about format and quality of the camera Images?
Is it a low noise Cam?
Does it yield Important an necessary settings to adjust the cam?
and ....?
The quality of exported image and compatibility of the camera with HP & Flex is the most importance for me.
Also I prefer USB2 cameras, because my PC CPU can not handle high frame rate cameras (also I don't think if any other one can reach out to over 15fps with Diy Scanner due to synchronization limitation).

How old is your pc? Can you not add a pcie card that has usb3 ports?

Unfortunately that Aptina MT9P031 5MP sensor is literally the nosiest sensor I've ever used, it's low cost for a reason - the data quality is worst than a 1.3mp sensor.

I've had the unfortunate experience of having to use this sensor across many projects dozens of times.. - I know it's low cost but your soul has a cost. I'd rather not eat for a few days, get a modern camera than to have to use this sensor... it's bad, tiny size, rolling shutter, unbelievable noisy, super old (10+ year old design)... the plus... well it's cheap.

Learn from my mistakes, - don't buy this camera...

My Laptop has USB3 Port. but I think Corei7 CPU and 12G of ram is not enough to handle high frame rate.
at this time I scan using two 2Mpixel Camera and I can feel how much load is over on the CPU.

If anything it's probably the single usb3.0 controller struggling with a pair of cameras and not the processor.

6fps is very slow

I agree. The i7 (even an older one) should be able to handle 2 USB 3 cameras. My dell laptops is all I use for scanning and it is now nearly 7 years old. I get the full 54 frames from both IS 174 cameras with it.
