Hey guys,
i'm currently looking for scanner that can scan either plaster models in very good detail. I also need a scanner that comes with software that recognises 2 objects seperatley that are interlocking/touching/sitting ontop of each other. The reason for this is that for my work i need to have the 2 models (the manidible and maxilla) in occlusion or sitting on top of each other, replicating the resting bite of the patient. once i upload the scans onto the 3d modelling software, i would need the software to recognise both scans as seperate yet being present and interlocking at the same time. is there a name for this ability? i would think is called something like articulation software. if theres an actual name id love to know. is there a way to get a non-dental scanner to do this? would it be possible to get a scanner under say £4000 that can do thge job?
I know i may not have explained this well enough so please feel free to ask me to clarrify/ explain in more depth.
Any info wopuld greatly appreciated.
