I've had my fair share of manufacturing before I started researching into 3d scanning. Most my previous work was mostly hand measured by hand so it wasn't the most accurate. Prototyping was expensive since there was much adjusting done after a series of revision

Solids for the said project, done mostly with hand measurement and tracing.

2nd Gen using shapeways to print in SLS, it's not ideal but was cheap at the time. It was messy and took a lot of prep and painting

3rd Gen using injection molding VS SLS printing, this was a risky move but the price and quality paid itself off which prove to be vastly superior
