Re: Reverse Engineering And Samples
Hey Narmella!
Drunkmunky from David laser scan forums.
I'd like to inquire if Lets Scan V2.2 is the only one made available to us?
I recall there might have been a V2.3 issued for a short time before it was withdrawn from the internet?
Thank you sir.

Re: Reverse Engineering And Samples
Hi,
So glad to see you here in this forum.
"LETS SCAN " is growing and is changing to a new scanning system with its own Scanning software and of course its own hardware.
Shortly ; you will hear about it here in this forum.
Good luck.

Re: Reverse Engineering And Samples
Hi Narmella,
Can you comment on something for me? I have noticed that using image grabber to process still captures seems to provide better overall accuracy and detail than "live" scanning, even when using the same equipment. For example, I tried using a Canon camera and capturing the clean HDMI signal using an Inogeni 4K to USB similar to Jeff's experiments, and the results weren't as good (scan alignment and surface quality) as scans done with "Let's Scan" using the exact same settings/setup. Do you think that the camera captures a more complete or even image when operating as a DSLR and let's scan triggering the shutter? Have you found what I say to be true, and if so why do you think this is happening?
Thanks

Re: Reverse Engineering And Samples
Hi Narmella.
Is letscan 2.2 still available somewhere?
Will your new scanning solution be compatible to custom hardware? (Dslr, Is, projectors..)
Best wishes

Re: Reverse Engineering And Samples
Hi,
Yes you can download free edition of lets scan from the old forum of david with some limitation :
http://forum.david-3d.com/viewtopic.php ... 489#p34322
I am thinking about "LET'S SCAN ".
I wrote it only for my own usage to fix many problems of david laser scanner.
But now seems i have to develop it to use as a standard scanning system .

As i wrote it above ; the software is growing to a new scanning software.
How ever "That was not what I wanted to be "
