A Few Hardware Scans

Post by Micr0 »

I found some old hardware in an Antiques store a couple weeks back. Here are some of the scans:

A Cast Iron Cabinet pull Calibrated at 120mm. The pull is ~80mm tall.

Great clarity! Very nice detail. Just curious, have you checked your dimensional accuracy? Are you parts measuring in David what they are in the "real" world?

These scans(I will post a few more), are of cabinet hardware. The handles one uses to open cabinet doors.

Hi to All,
this is probably a very dumb question as im only very new here
But how do we measure in david the accuracy or how do we measure the scan.

Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you are using version 5 of David In that there is a measure feature with which you can click on 2 points and David will give you the distance between them. You can then compare that to measurements you do on the scan subject in the physical world. Say measuring between two machined faces on a casting with a caliper or micrometer etc.
