For thoses just starting with David, this must give some cool results if the shutter speed can be adjusted.
Logitech 4K Webcam
Re: Logitech 4K Webcam
I wonder if spending $200 on a 4K web cam would give better results than spending that money on a more focused but lower resolution camera and lens. I think a $20 used Logitech 9000 is a better place to start. Then if Scanning is something that the beginner wants to get further into then they can decide to throw $ at it. To take the sensor out, print a new enclosure and add a good lens might be interesting. However this camera doesn't seem to have a USB3 port on the back, so I wonder what the max data/frame rate is? Even if it 30fps it may be compressed or progressive.Curiousjeff wrote: ↑09 Feb 2017, 18:01 http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/brio

Re: Logitech 4K Webcam
From Logitech:
4K Ultra HD video calling (up to 4096 x 2160 pixels @ 30 fps)
(USB 3.0 required for 4K)
1080p Full HD video calling (up to 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 30 or 60 fps)
720p HD video calling (up to 1280 x 720 pixels @ 30, 60, or 90 fps)
Autofocus
Supports multiple connection types, including USB 2.0 Type A and USB 3.0 Type A and C connections
3-year Limited hardware warranty.
But you are probably right regarding compression.
Any how, it just shows that the projection/capture will improve probably faster then David itself.
Speaking of capture.....when will we know more about that magical camera ?
