Great to hear Mading!

Have I missed some pictures of your turntable (or just forgot that i've seen them)?

Hi there Martan, my photopizza style turntable was built for a friend for 360° pictures.
Never published any pictures. Here you have it, laser cut in black PMMA and tested with some weight. Control unit was in developement.

Now I'm going to try the Bluetooth COM stuff, in order to minimize the things plugged into this world.

Uau!
Which kind of printer did you use? Fdm? Carbon filament?
Really curios to see the first scan!! It would be really helpful with violin scrolls.
I was skeptical about the stability of the orizontal axis, if using a simple step motor without a planetary gear. Is the torque enough for resting steady at a given angle?

Btw it' really cool in black (and perfect for scanning)

Good morning!

FDM and PLA, nothing fancy. (Prusa Mk3s and AddNorth xPLA-filament. like them both)
I have to get back to you about the stability. I believe it will be sufficient for a violin scroll.
If you keep current on to the steppers it should be fine, if released the gearing should help to keep the position.
I have a small (ungeared) rotary table where I release the current and it moves to easy. Gearing is a better
solution. I will keep you posted :-)

Thanks Martan, for me it would be easier cutting and gluing wood.
It's really interesting to see how people from different backgrounds use different solutions.
I'm thinking about having a 3d printer, but it's second to a good cnc router.
Prusa seems a good compromise between an hobby and a pro printer.

You "need" both router and printer ;-)

In fact, this is an ideal option - since it is possible to quickly print rather rough forms of the desired models with a thick nozzle and a thick layer, and then "finish" it to the desired shape and size on a CNC milling machine.
