It's alive!
After massive problems (broken i2c-controller) with I2C to the display it is now up and running. It does what one expects.
Next case is to make it work with HP3Dscan according to my old setup with the DIY turntable (Arduino/AutoIt).

Congratulations! Bravo!!
Are you going to automate both axis?
We want a video!!

Yes, automate both axes. My old rotary table makes 20 scans - no more, no less.
I will do the same here so no fancy settings. Mayby 40 scans then; 20 in tilted position 1 and 20 in tilted position 2.
Unless I come up with something more clever.

Re: New Open Source Turntable
How is it going with the rest tourque?
Do you have any vibration or loose step during tilting?
Hungry for videos!

Haven't really tested it yet. The stepper-circuits seems to stay cool and nice so no problem to keep the current on to the motors.
Yesterday I looked for (and found) the Arduino-code and AutoIT-code so I can get to work.
Slowly forward

At home with man-cold.
I made some Arduino-code för the Openscan Rotary table and adjusted the AutoIt-script to make 40 scans (instead of 20).
Something like this:
1. Tilt table some 40 degrees in one direction
2. Make 20 scans with the rotor
3. Tilt table some 40 degrees the other direction
4. Make 20 scans with the rotor
It works. Not necessary but a bit fun

Cool!. Looks like it works better than the Amal concentric you scanned.martan wrote: ↑27 Feb 2020, 14:21 At home with man-cold.

Wow ... that's really cool project.
Is there any YouTube video availalbe to show the OpenScan with HP Scan in action?
And could somebody summarize shortly which code is needed on the OpenScan Arduino and which SW mod on the Windows PC with HP 3d Scan v5?
