For a "pro" setup you will need a couple of 12, 16, 25 mm lenses. I guess.
Here, for example, you can clearly see that the original version of the Rangevision Pro scanner comes with a set of lenses with different focal lengths:

OK. I looked at the SPectrum version official videos only.
So, are you saying with the software we can build a scanner with features of pro?
Cool!
Would be interesting to know which (kind of) projector they use in the Pro.
Seems they put a custom lens on it.

The “hobbyist” version of Rangevision's DIY software introduces some limitations (to avoid direct competition with their flagship Rangevision Pro). The limitation is to reduce the working resolution of cameras from 6.3MP to 5MP (according to rumors, it is possible that in the final version for new users this will be limited to 3MP).
I, as one of the early buyers, have the ability to work with 5MP resolution (also for any option, it remains possible to use 1.5MP binning (this function is available with recommended Daheng MER630 cameras)).
As for the projector for Pro, I don't have accurate information, but it seems like there is a specialized projection module (i.e. it is not a ready-made, and slightly modernized household projector, as in simple models of their scanners).
It is possible that something similar to this is used:

that's cool.

Sw and Hw ordered.
Limited to 16mm, for now. Let's see how it works.

I see that LG is selling a post-P1500: LG HF60LSR
Maybe a good partner for the rangeVision.

Still 5 Mpx, as far as the seller confirmed.

For me the LG HF60LSR is too expensive (even a used one). Now a local flea market has a PF1500 - and I just have no money, because haven't sold JmGO J6S yet

What I like about RangeVision DIY is that it doesn't matter which projector is used.
In this case, all the calibration was done with the old HD projector (on which the cameras are fixed), and then I simply connected another projector (FullHD) and put it on the side of my system - and still the program scans perfectly (corrected for the angle, because the projector shines from the side, and the cameras do not see everything from the projection strips)

in a few days the cameras and software arrive. Hopefully the 12mm projector and lenses are good here
usually with David I only use a 60mm calibration table for dental models

In the program itself (during calibration) there are recommendations for installing the lens with the desired focal length for a given scanning area.
For the smallest 3rd zone, 16mm lenses are best. For the 4th zone (it is not included in the kit, but you can print the actual one), 25mm lenses are recommended. And 12mm is probably for the 1st and 2nd zones (large and medium) - I have never used them yet.

The size of my zone number 3 is 94.463mm, the size of my homemade printed zone number 4 is 58.744mm

Here, if anyone is interested, a link to several small fields for self-production (in CorelDraw v.13 format)

I also tried scanning with binning BIN4 - the resolution of the cameras is reduced by 4 times, but recalibration for this mode (in contrast to the software crop) is not required.
