Tried to record a short video of scanning a test object on a turntable. Most of the operations were automatic.

Did you meanwhile found a solution to get 2x Daheng cameras working also on HP3dScan?
I am asking because i have the same cameras for RV but would also like to use it with HP3dScan.
Thanks

Yes, I used very old Daheng drivers - with them HP sees both MER630 cameras and works (with the RV also working with these drivers).
When using HP3DScan, there are some inconveniences (before calibration, you need to go to the properties of each camera and disable the "sharpening" checkbox (besides that it worsens the scan quality, it also severely limits the camera speed to 20-25fps instead of 60fps), after calibration go to scan mode, and there again turn off "sharpening").
Also, it is better to set the shutter speed from the camera properties, and not using the "slider" in the HP interface. This also applies to gain (in the HP interface, this, for reasons I do not understand, has only two positions 0 and MAX)
You can download old drivers here (from my Google drive)

Hi
I use some other kind of cameras and had trouble with camera settings (HP did not keep some settings of cameras for ever). one day I went to windows registry (regedit) and searched my cameras name in registry (for values and Data), Each time the search process found a value, I added a random letter at end of the value (For Example: CameraName ===> CameraNameR and for next found value: CameraName ===> CameraNameT).
After that, the HP software Show the name of my Cameras as CameraNameR and CameraNameT, and Also can keep all settings.

This is not possible with all camera models.

Daheng cameras and without additional renaming have different "names" in HP3Dscan. But for their joint simultaneous work in it required old versions of DShow. This is a "feature" of the HP3Dscan program itself.
But two identical Toupcam UCMOS3100KPA cameras have not yet been made to work in it.
Some cameras can be renamed through their driver (for example, in Mindvision SUA630 cameras).

Found another interesting object to scan:
Souvenir "Bear with a rose"
Souvenir "Bear with a rose"
Object height - 70mm

Uploading pictures is, of course, a good way to show the model...
But it is even better when you can safely turn it "in (virtual) hands" :D
All you need to view is a web browser
